A destination stand has two jobs: introduce a place and give people a reason to stay. For KTO at ILTM Asia Pacific, Zeno brought a recognisable Korean identity together with spaces for face-to-face meetings. The pavilion-style canopy, illuminated Korea signage and warm finishes make the stand distinctive, while the layout keeps visitor conversations at its centre.
A pavilion needs to communicate a sense of place while leaving room for the people inside it. In this design, the architectural identity sits above and around the meeting areas, with open approaches to the reception counter and seating. The relationship between those features is what makes the stand useful as well as distinctive.
The canopy’s sweeping profile and illuminated Korea signage establish the overall silhouette. The destination branding sits high, leaving the lower part of the stand available for welcoming visitors and holding conversations.
The central wall carries a screen and destination imagery, while round tables sit within the open areas around it. This arrangement brings presentation and discussion together without requiring every visitor to gather in one place.
Decorative lattice panels, warm wood-look surfaces and lighting beneath the canopy connect the larger architectural idea to the areas visitors experience up close. A reception counter at the front provides a clear place to make an initial enquiry.
Zeno handled design, project management and delivery.
The client’s feedback was that the design captured their intended vision on the first try and drew attention at the event. They also described the experience as hassle-free and valued having a reliable partner throughout the project.
For a destination or hospitality stand, treat seating and visitor access as part of the concept from the start. A distinctive architectural feature works best alongside clear arrival points, visible content and comfortable places to talk.
